VACANCIES

Citizen Church, part of the Diocese of Llandaff, began in 2020 during the pandemic. We were a pioneering start-up within the Church in Wales, with support from the HTB network; our first location was in Cathays, in Cardiff, and subsequently we’ve welcomed people to our locations in Pontypridd and Senghenydd too. We’ve seen 5 remarkable years of growth and change: we’re coming to the end of this start-up phase, and are now planning for the next stage of our journey.

In our first few years Citizen relied heavily on an employed staff team. As our community has grown and our needs have changed, we’ve seen an increase in the involvement of the whole church community in the carrying-out of church activity. This summer, we’ve had some 70 commissioned ministry leaders acknowledged within the congregation, and there’s a real momentum as we get ready for the next stage of our journey. As part of this change we’re re-shaping our staff team around increased congregational involvement, and also with a view to long-term financial sustainability.

We’re currently recruiting 3 employed roles: a full-time Director of Teams, a full-time Director of Missional Operations and a full-time Eden Team Leader.

Application closing date: Thursday 4th September
Interview dates:
Director of Teams/Director of Missional Operations: 11th September
Eden Team Leader: End of September
